Full cape cut as a circle with a high funnel-neck collar, closed at the front with a row of large buttons. It has slanted pockets at hip height and wide batwing sleeves formed by the cape's own sweep.
It works best in a fabric with good body and weight, such as wool coating or wool flannel, so the sweep of the cape falls with structure and does not look light. Cut the circle of the cape with the fabric folded so the sweep is symmetrical on both sides.
