High-rise pants with an elastic waistband and a very wide leg that falls loose and covers the instep. Three parallel stripes, in the same tone but with different sheen, run down the side from the waist. A small slit shows at the side hem, and the fabric forms soft folds as you walk.
The sheen and drape suggest a fluid, satin-look fabric, such as a matte satin or a woven polyester. Sew with a fine needle and a short stitch, and finish the edge of the slit with a narrow topstitched fold so it does not fray.
