Tailored pants with a high rise, a plain waistband and a wide, straight leg that reaches the instep. Each leg has a pressed crease down the front, and there are side pockets to rest a hand in. The fabric looks smooth and matte, with body, and the fit is loose from the hip.
It works best in a medium-weight tailoring fabric, such as a crepe or a somewhat stiff weave that holds the crease. It helps to interface the waistband and the pocket openings, and to press the crease in with a damp cloth before sewing the hem.
