The shorts have an elastic waistband with a visible white drawstring, a straight cut to above the knee and heathered gray panels on the outer sides. They have a small woven label at hip height.
To help the color panels keep their shape, work in polyester jersey knit or french terry, with rib knit as an alternative for the cuffs if added. Sew the side panels together before attaching the waistband so the drawstring does not end up misaligned.
