Each side has a curved insert in a lighter tone, with an openwork textured section at the bottom. The fabric looks light and slightly shiny.
A technical woven, such as microfiber or polyamide, works best, with elastane in the inner layer. Attach the inner layer to the waistband with a zigzag stitch and close the side inserts with flat seams to avoid chafing, which makes for a garment that is comfortable in motion.
