Loose dress with a round neckline, bare shoulders and short sleeves finished in a ruffle. A strip of gathered ruffle crosses the front at chest level. The skirt falls full from a high seam with light gathers, and at the back a center zipper runs down to that seam.
Because of the fluid drape seen in the photo, tencel, viscose or a lightweight cotton such as chambray works best. The back zipper is set with interfacing on the edges, and the ruffles are gathered with two rows of basting before joining them to the front to spread the gathers evenly.
