The dress has long, wide batwing sleeves that fall in drapes from the shoulders, a decorative gather over the waist and an open back with the same draping crossed toward the back. The length reaches mid-calf with a slit at the front.
Because of the draping, it works best in jersey with spandex or modal, knits with good drape that follow the folds without losing stretch in the fitted body. Cut the sleeves on the bias so the draping falls evenly on both sides.
