Strapless ball gown with a sweetheart neckline and a satin bodice that ends in a point over the skirt. The skirt is long and very voluminous, made of layered tulle. The back closes with a laced corset-style cord, over a fitted strip of fabric.
Works best in satin for the bodice and firm tulle for the skirt, over a petticoat that adds volume. Build the bodice with boning and firm interfacing, and set reinforced eyelets or loops in the back closure to withstand the tension of the cord.
