Module 3: Working with Digital Sewing Patterns

A digital sewing pattern is not used the same way as a paper one: first you have to turn it into a physical pattern correctly. This module covers the part that causes the most mistakes in practice, which is not sewing but printing.

  1. Digital Pattern Formats and When to Use Each One — Choose the right format based on the equipment you have and your production volume.
  2. Printing Without Losing Scale — Print any pattern at exactly the right scale and know how to check it before you put the scissors to the fabric.
  3. Assembling an A4 Pattern Sheet by Sheet — Assemble an A4 pattern of twenty or thirty sheets without letting the error accumulate.
  4. How to Adapt a Purchased Pattern — Make safe modifications to a catalog pattern without ruining the fit.

How to buy from Moldey

Choose the pattern and the format, pay with Mercado Pago, PayPal, bank transfer or cryptocurrency, and download the file. The price depends on the format and, for each format, it is the same across the whole catalog and in every country: $10 for PDF A4, $15 for plotter PDF, $20 for the sublimation file and $50 for the editable Audaces and Optitex files. A new pattern developed to order costs $100. PLT, DXF/AAMA and CDR files, for plotters and CAD, can also be requested through WhatsApp or Telegram.

Every size comes in the same file. Delivery is digital: no shipping, no freight, no customs. Patterns are sold with a commercial production license, so you can make and sell the garments with no unit limit.
