Module 2: Measurements and sizing
This module explains where the numbers in a sewing pattern come from. It is the part that separates making clothes for one person from producing for a market: for one person you take measurements, for a market you work from a size chart.
- How to take body measurements — Take a reliable, repeatable set of measurements that gives the same result twice in a row.
- What a size chart is and how to read it — Understand where a garment's sizes come from and why two different brands don't fit the same.
- The size range: why you can't just scale up — Understand what it means for a pattern to come with the full size range and why that is what makes serial production possible.
- Ease and fit: why the same measurement gives different garments — Be able to decide how much ease a garment needs based on how it will be used and what fabric it is made of.

A new pattern developed to order costs $100. PLT, DXF/AAMA and CDR files, for plotters and CAD, can also be requested through WhatsApp or Telegram.
