Sleeveless vest with a high mandarin collar and a full-length front zipper. The quilting is organized in horizontal channels that run around the whole body, and the side zip pockets open on a diagonal. Inside, a dark lining with a contrast trim along the zipper is visible. The fit is straight.
Given the light drape, a lightweight woven with batting or fleece fill between two layers works best. Cutting the batting without seam allowance and marking the channels before assembling the body keeps the fill from shifting while sewing.
