Jeans in a worn gray wash, with a high rise, a wide, straight leg and a wide hem. On the side of each leg is a patch cargo pocket with a flap, with thin ribbons hanging from its edge. At the back are patch pockets with curved topstitching, and the waistband has belt loops and a button at the front.
It works best in a medium-weight denim with a little stretch, which follows the hip without losing the straight drape. Fixing the ribbons with a reinforcing stitch at the point of the flap and pressing the hem before sewing it keeps the hem from rippling.
