Plain long-sleeve shirt with a slim fit, a short-point collar and a front placket with small buttons. The cuffs close with a button and the back has a yoke with a straight seam below the collar. The fabric has a smooth, slightly matte surface, and the shirt is worn tucked into the pants.
A poplin or a cotton satin with spandex works best, giving a clean drape to the slim fit. Interface the collar, collar stand and cuffs with a fine fusible interfacing and, if you want a closer fit, add darts in the back; the yoke is cut double so it stays stable.
