Fitted high-rise shorts with a pronounced center seam at the front. On each side, a casing with a cord gathers the fabric into folds and lets two long strips hang down, tied in a bow, which allow the gathering to be adjusted. The fabric is a fine knit with a slight sheen and the hem is simple.
Given the drape shown, a fine stretch knit with good recovery works best, such as spandex jersey or a rib with spandex. Reinforce the point where each cord comes out with a small piece of stretch interfacing so the opening does not widen when the cord is pulled.
